Lots of news - Parish Council have agree we can plant a small tree on the batch for the Jubilee Year. Just have to agree what is a small tree - unfortunately I'm unable to attend next meeting to make a comment so it will be a committee decision by those present. Will send info re: trees via Kath.
Speaker 'interesting' but perhaps a bit too cerebral - some members looked a little dazed afterwards. Generally, it wasn't quite what we expected and not one of his best talks, lthough lovely pics and music and it was a for a good cause. Another lovely poem - this time about 'The Jubilee' - Ruth's done the village proud - note it was published in the July Parish News. When my printer's working must photocopy to send to Happy Valley and Iceland. We hope Ruth is going to adjust and enter the 20 line county poem competition! Go on Ruth - give it a whirl!
