Pouring with rain - of course, - but dry when we arrived. Had a little detour and learnt much more about Bruton - I feel a poem coming on as our party consisted of Ruth, Kath and Eileen.
We had Pimms (on offer in most super-markets now - bought a bottle myself the other day). Pleasant drink.with nibbles - all very jolly (had to eat quite a few nibbles to soak up the Pimms - it went to my head) Lots of WI members from local WIs present - good to see them all there enjoying the evening. Then into the 'theatre' - what a lovely set-up, comfy seats/ good view - lucky pupils at Sunny Hill. Then we had the most 'lovely' demonstration of flower arranging by Coral. A talented lady with a good line in chatter - it was a delightful evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed it - unfortunately, we didn't win a flower arrangment - I don't know how we'd have got one in the car - they were huge - have taken some pics on my mobile phone but have to find out how to download them - I have a little gadget 'somewhere'. Watch this space!!
