Roadshow at West Camel 23rd April, St Georges Day

Iris, Anne and Eileen went to this. Personally, I enjoyed the day - it was good to see friends and I was lucky enough to have a lift with Barbara who helped me with the Show and Tell PAINT Bag!! Not encouraged by Carole telling me to cut some information - but we weathered our way through it!!

The afternoon speaker was, I felt, excellent - although this was really a Physics lecture - he really made it clear to everyone and it was very interesting. My father was colour blind, he failed a test to be an engine driver, as he couldn't see the difference between red and green. Have warned my daughters this could go down through the family as it is hereditary and I, of course, must be a carrier. (Electric wiring was changed especially because of people with colour blindness). This is predominantly inherited by men - women are rarely more than carriers, although some unfortunates do inherit it.
