Ruth and Eileen went to the 'Evening with Ann Widdecombe at Westlands, Yeovil. Before the interval we were entertained by the Waltons Follies and then Sampford Arundel read us snippets from their WI minutes with gems of general news - excellent. After the interval Ann Widdecombe chatted away for ages and then took lots of questions - it was refreshing to listen to her common sense replies and the story of her political 'jobs'. Thelma said ' lets vote Ann for Prime Minister'. She'd certainly make a better job of it than most. A really good evening.
