Cothay Manor outing

Well despite drizzle rain at the start of the day - it dried up and we were able to walk around the gardens after our tour and lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed the visit - what a shame some members missed such a treat. Pic 1. snaps from Cothay with central Burrowbridge tea. Pic 2. some of the sculptures we saw in the grounds. I just loved the dogs tail in the geraniums pic 2 - looked just like the rear of our dog, Rusty of long ago!
Many thanks to Kath - in yellow and blue pic. 1 for making all the arrangements. Our tour around the house was absolutely fascinating - marvellous guide - I think the other group had a very good guide as well. All our bags, etc were locked in a cupboard while we walked around in our blue 'plastic' slippers and Alban had the key of the cupboard - our guide kept getting phone-calls in the last room because the 1st tour had finished and they wanted the key - BUT - our guide soldiered on - she had so much to tell us - and she made sure to tell it all and we felt amply rewarded by her skill.
